NCP CREDIT UNION APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR

Ms. Phyllis F. Parker, President and CEO of P. Felton Parker & Associates, a consulting group delivering comprehensive professional services in healthcare, education, human resources, and organizational management has been appointed to  the NCP Community Development Federal Credit Union (NCP) board of directors.

Ms. Parker’s diverse background and professional disciplines reflect over 20 years of experience in banking with NationsBank (predecessor of Bank of America) serving in retail management and at the corporate level as Vice President and Regional Manager.   Ms. Parker has also held positions at Old Dominion University and Portsmouth Community Health Center, Inc.

Ms. Parker’s community activities over the years include working with the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, Habitat for Humanity projects, United Way and serving on the Board of Directors for RESPONSE Sexual Assault Support Services.

NCP, located in the Berkley section of Norfolk is the only designated Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in South Hampton Roads.
